"The Little YT: A Take of Transformation".
“The Little YT: A Tale of Transformation”
In a secluded province, a hardworking couple, devoted husband and wife, raised their brood of
eight children amidst simplicity and struggle. Among them was the youngest, YT, a spirited girl
who brought both joy and mischief to their humble abode. Living as farmers, the family
transitioned from the rugged mountains to a more accommodating landscape in 1991, where
YT, their eighth child, came into the world in 1992.
In the quaint province, where formal education was a luxury, the children learned the virtues of
labor early on, tending to crops and animals with dedication. YT, however, stood out for her
spirited nature, often challenging her mother's structured ways with a mischievous twinkle in her
eye. Despite the clashes, her father was her unwavering shield, protecting her from her mother's
stern discipline.
Tragedy struck when illness befell YT's father, leaving her mother to seek treatment while YT
stayed behind, her siblings having ventured to the city in search of work. Alone at home, her
days were filled with fervent prayers for her father's recovery, turning down invitations from
friends until her prayers were offered in earnest. Heartbreak shattered their home when her
father passed away when she was just eleven, drawing her closer to her mother, who, in her
grief, softened her approach.
As YT matured, she pursued her studies through high school, finding independence in a
dormitory away from home. With the support of her widowed mother and the guidance of an
elder sister, YT navigated her senior high school years. Yet, a deeper calling beckoned her
towards the path of religious life, where she could devote herself to prayer for her father's soul,
her mother's health, and her family's prosperity.
Her decision to join a convent brought immense joy to her mother, who saw in YT's choice a
testament to the values instilled in her by her upbringing. Now, at thirty-two, YT remains
steadfast in her commitment to the RVM congregation, a testament to the enduring impact of
her journey from a spirited young girl to a devoted servant of God.
